Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a qualified Online Media Platform Manager to support NATO’s Joint Warfare Center’s (JWC) high priority exercises. JWC’s mission is to deliver high value exercises to NATO Command Structure and Force Structure entities and organizations in accordance with direction and guidance received from Allied Command Transformation (ACT) as well as SACEUR’s Annual Guidance for Exercise (SAGE) and the Military Training Evaluation Plan (MTEP). JWC employs a matrix-management organizational structure with staff Directorates and Divisions comprising the vertical component, and multi-year Exercise programs, led by Program Directors, providing the lateral component. By managing the multi-year Exercise programs, the Program Directors coordinate JWC’s contribution and support to NATO’s exercise and training program. the provider will be required to develop, produce, deliver, and archive new settings and scenarios, and update / review and deliver existing settings and scenarios, to include necessary consultation that complement and support the work carried out by JWC’s Scenario Branch. The ambition is to leverage professional, forward-thinking Provider(s) with the ability to bring creativity, novel design thinking and industry best practices to JWC’s business functions of designing, developing, and delivering exercise settings and scenarios, as well as directly supporting the delivery of NATO’s Major Joint Exercise Program.
The Media Inject and Platform Manager supports the media simulation mission by managing all media activity in the exercise Joint Exercise Management Module (JEMM) database and the posting of content to the media simulation platforms. The Media Simulation Cell is responsible for approximately 40% of all JEMM content, which requires careful administration to ensure media content is synchronized and well-coordinated. The tasks are time-sensitive and have immediate impact on exercise play.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Prior to STARTEX, review exercise scenario documentation, media SOP, social media terms and conditions, and the JEMM database to become familiar with the media framework, storylines and procedures for exercise media play. Become familiar with technical processes required to manage and post content to the media platforms.
- Ensure all media injects contain the necessary data required to be approved and scheduled for exercise play.
- Communicate any missing data, erroneous information and scheduling conflicts with the media inject authors, Event Managers and the exercise JEMM Manager.
- Coordinate approval of media injects with the Online Content Manager or Chief Media.
- Review and upload news media articles, videos, images and documents to NewsWeb and Chatter at the scheduled times and in their required locations.
- Coordinate the uploading of images to news articles with the article author to ensure the image is relevant and meets JWC media guidelines.
- Communicate upload times of all video products to Chief Media.
- Review draft media injects 24 and 48 hours ahead to identify any issues and coordinate solutions as required.
- Monitor the NewsWeb and Chatter platforms to ensure functionality, continuity and quality control. Communicate any issues to technical staff.
- Coordinate assigned tasks with augmented support staff.
- Gather media inject statistics and provide to Chief Media for daily end-of-day meetings and ENDEX briefs.
- Coordinate daily with all stakeholders and actively participate in relevant meetings.
- Support archiving exercise media content into established content libraries.
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education.
- At least three (3) years’ professional experience in organizational website management, including employing digital journalism/social media skills using online content management systems.
- At least three (3) years’ professional experience analyzing large volumes of data using professional data management tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Current NATO Secret Security Clearance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in English as defined in STANAG 6001 (Standardized Linguistic Profile (SLP) 4444 – Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) or equivalent.
Clearance: Must possess an active NATO or U.S. SECRET or higher security clearance.
Location: NATO Joint Warfare Center, Stavanger, Norway
Travel: CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
