DESCRIPTION
The Transportation & Mobility Planning Manager (Planning Manager) will lead day-to-day efforts on Citywide mobility initiatives and closely collaborate and coordinate with other City Departments to push these exciting projects forward. The Planning Manager will oversee transportation planners while also overseeing several critical mobility initiatives. This highly knowledgeable leader will effectively use their planning, mobility, and traffic engineering knowledge to progress the Department's efforts while engaging the community. An essential part of this role is relaying information to key stakeholders, including department heads and community members in easy-to-understand terms. This Planning Manager will work hard to meet deadlines and implement initiatives such as MOVE, the Transportation Demand Management program and strategies, comprehensive mobility services, and additional efforts.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in urban or transportation planning or related field, preferably supplemented by course work or certification in traffic engineering
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional level experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, transportation program management, and/or transportation project development/management, including two years of supervisory experience
- Municipality experience required.
- Master's Degree is desirable
