Transportation Planner
(Municipality Experience Required) 

Description

We are looking for a Transportation Planner with professional-level administrative and analytical experience to assist with a variety of programsand play a key role in moving the Department's innovative mobility projects forward. The Planner will coordinate with internal and external teams to manage and balance multiple projects' goals, scopes, timelines, and budgets . The Transportation Planner will keep the City apprised of best practices, relevant legislation and funding opportunities, and local projects that may impact or influence the City's strategic planning efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning: Able to utilize comprehensive knowledge and experience in transportation planning, transit service planning, planning studies, environmental impact analysis, transportation demand management, traffic engineering, fleet services, and capital/infrastructure project implementation. Examples include preparing planning studies, conducting research and analyses related to transportation planning, measuring and reporting the performance of the City's mobility services, planning service changes for the fixed-route service, and applying for competitive grants
• Communication & Collaboration: Able to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals, utilize strong written and oral communication skills, maintain excellent attention to details, and provide excellent customer service
• Project Management: Capable of executing skills in research and project management and analyze a variety of administrative problems in making sound policy and procedural recommendations. Can thrive in a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of responsibilities and think comprehensively, strategically, and creatively.
• Position uses Ride Check and MS Office Suite

Monday- Friday 7:30am- 5:30am
Every other Friday off
