Where would you step in?
As a valuable member of our transportation team, you will be primarily responsible for performing an array of tasks for roadway projects in support of State DOTs, Counties, Cities, and other municipalities. You could sit in our any of our Massachusetts offices. We offer a hybrid work environment and flexible Fridays in the summer.

Transportation is essential to our daily lives. Our goal is to help people get where they need to be – smoothly, safely, and quickly. We have nearly 100 professional engineers providing traffic engineering, roadway & bridge design, and transportation planning services to state DOTs as well as regional, municipal, private and institutional clients throughout the Northeast to reach that goal.
What will you be doing?
In this position, you will lead complex highway, roadway, and multimodal design, including preparation of conceptual design studies, preliminary and final design construction documents. You will provide day to day supervision of project staff, including supporting their professional growth and technical mentoring. In addition, you will assist with proposal development and be responsible for client communications and maintaining client relationships. In this role you will be responsible to work within established budgets and timelines, as well as maintaining the high standards of work we produce.
What do you need?
You will need a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and significant experience in highway engineering and roadway design including preparation of plans, profiles, cross sections, grading, utility, drainage design, engineers’ opinion of probable cost and construction specifications. A Massachusetts P.E. license is required (or ability to obtain reciprocity). You will need experience with MicroStation/Connect, InRoads/OpenRoads is preferred; AutoCAD and Civil3D a plus. Previous experience with MassDOT project design requirements and plan preparation guidelines required; experience in other New England states is a plus!

The salaries are determined based on internal equity and market analysis and will vary based on the candidate’s skill and experience; the salary range for this position is $96,122-$126,161 As an employee-owned company, we also offer generous year-end bonuses and robust deferred income benefits to help you build wealth through our matching 401(k), ESOP, and annual profit sharing.
