1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

As the Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for performing all functions of customer service, as well as order entry, load tracking for all modes of transportation and freight pay resolution. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Schedule delivery appointments
- Conduct freight tendering/carrier selection (with use of routing guide)
- Monitor carrier performance/compliance issues
- Perform data entry and track-and-trace duties
- Provide freight pay and claims resolution
At a minimum, you'll need:
- 1 year of experience working in an administrative / clerical position
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to understand the perspective of several sides of the issue to achieve resolution, including carrier, supplier, freight pay, internal customer, etc.
- Solid attention to detail with the ability to multitask
- Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in freight pay resolution
- Understanding of transportation modes and rate structures for Supply Chain
- Sikorsky Global Logistics training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
