Transportation Supervisor - Legacy Supply Chain

Legacy Supply Chain Services is hiring an experienced Transportation Supervisor to support our Fontana, CA operation. As a Transportation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a fleet of Class A and Class C delivery drivers. This role involves planning routes, assigning drivers, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining vehicle safety. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

• Monday through Friday schedule starting at 4:00am
• Starting salary between $70,000-$80,000 per year

What to expect as a Transportation Supervisor:

• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery efficiency, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure high level of customer service
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including hours of service, vehicle inspections, and safety standards.
• Maintain necessary documentation and records to demonstrate compliance.
• Oversee efficiency of operational processes
• Participate in strategic planning and goal-setting for various business functions, including IT and customer support
• Analyze business requirements and customer needs
• Monitor and report on department performance
• Monitor driver performance, including adherence to delivery schedules, safety standards, and company policies.
• Provide coaching and feedback to drivers to improve their skills and performance.
• Schedule regular vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance records and address any issues promptly.
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Promote a safety-first culture among drivers and staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years working in transportation, preferrably in a 3PL environment 
• Minimum of 3 years delivery driving experience 
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in route planning software and transportation management systems.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
