planning, curriculum development expertise, and a commitment to advancing trauma care through
innovative educational initiatives. Reporting to the Trauma Program Manager at MUSC Health
Charleston, the Coordinator will operate with autonomy to design, deliver, and evaluate trauma
education programs aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals across
the continuum of care.

Job Description
The Trauma Outreach and Education Coordinator will play a multifaceted role in driving educational
excellence within the MUSC Health Trauma System. From curriculum development to program
evaluation, the Coordinator will be responsible for leading initiatives to ensure the highest standards of
trauma care are consistently met and exceeded. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and
continuous improvement, the coordinator will work closely with interdisciplinary teams, external
partners, and community stakeholders to achieve the organization's educational objectives.
Additional Job Description
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of five years’ work experience as a Registered Nurse in a Pediatric Critical Care, or Cardiac and/or Surgery. Experience in Performance Improvement (PI) programs and processes; ability to utilize data for program analysis; demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to collaboratively work with all disciplines. Excellent computer skills; Word, Excel, etc. Certification: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Proof of current training in AED for health care providers. Some positions require a valid driver's license.
