Job Title: Trauma Quality Management Coordinator
Shift: 8:00AM-4:00PM
Status: Full-time/80 hours per pay
Facility: Atrium Medical Center
The Trauma Quality Management Coordinator performs quality assessments and improvement reviews for the medical staff and other committees consistent with the approved performance improvement plans and in accordance with the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Level III Trauma Center verification criteria. The TQMC is responsible for providing information to the Trauma Medical Director, Trauma Program Manager, or other quality improvement teams and committees for concurrent and retrospective quality assessment and improvement reviews. The TQMC assists the Trauma Program, Medical Staff and other committees with data collection, including chart abstraction and analysis of trends using statistical quality tools in order that performance opportunities and improvements can be identified and implemented to improve patient outcomes. The TQMC may be responsible for participating on quality improvement teams by managing clinical data and employing evidence-based solutions. The TQMC is also responsible for individual case reviews, all trauma death reviews and follow up for improvement opportunities. The TQMC facilitates and documents monthly _Trauma Performance Improvement/Patient Safety meetings_ and weekly Trauma Conference.
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree

Preferred experience: Experience with trauma patients is preferred
Other experience requirements: Experience in emergency, critical care, perioperative services, critical care step-down and or telemetry is required.
