**Job Title:** Cath Lab Technician
**Job Specialty:** Radiology / Cardiology
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Client may call off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without compensation for those hours.
**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience required
**License:** Active license required; no pending licenses accepted.
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, ARRT, RCIS
**Must-Have:**
- Experience in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
- Skills in Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), IABP Placement/Removal, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Left Heart Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Right Heart Catheterization, Rotablader Atherectomy, Scrub Procedures
- Equipment setup and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Familiarity with Isolation Precautions and Sterile Technique
- Competency with Middle and Older Adult patient groups
- Experience with Cerner charting system
**Job Description:**
- Open to first-time applicants
- Weekend shifts required: Work 2-3 weekends per contract
- On-call duties are required as needed
- Not required to float to different units
- Block schedule requests to be discussed with the manager
- Local candidates accepted
- RTO ideally no more than 5 days
- Floating required for all travelers within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals
- Cerner proficiency necessary; modules to be completed virtually on the first day by EOD and annually thereafter
**Special Requirements:**
- Hospital is an Acute Care facility and Level I trauma center
- This position is within a magnet hospital/facility
- Orientation consists of 16 non-billable hours
