Department: Nurse Staffing
Shift Timings: Night Shift 19:00 - 07:30 Hours
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications
- EOW, Holidays: Yes;
- CVICU & Neuro experience preferred but not required - will float to Neuro ICU and Burn ICU - will be given patients within skill set
- May be given patient assignments that are Med/Surg/IMC if needed; 2 years experience needed
- May need to float to other sites within 40 mile radius
QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Cardiovascular ICU experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
- Active unencumbered RN Wisconsin state license
- One year of Epic experience
Requirements
- COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
