Job Title: Travel Coordinator
Location: Huntsville, AL (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Travel Coordinator to manage and coordinate travel arrangements for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government contracting, including familiarity with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), and General Services Administration (GSA) per diem rates. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth and compliant travel operations.
Duties:
- Coordinate travel arrangements including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and other logistical needs for employees.
- Ensure all travel complies with government regulations, company policies, JTR, and GSA per diem guidelines.
- Manage travel bookings through authorized government travel systems and vendors.
- Monitor and process travel expenses and reimbursements according to company policies.
- Track and report travel-related expenses, ensuring alignment with contract budgets.
- Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any travel-related issues or discrepancies.
- Stay up to date with government travel regulations, GSA per diem rates, and travel-related policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, ensuring travel needs are met efficiently and within budget.
Requirements:
- Highschool Diploma and 1-3 year of relevant work experience
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Travel Coordinator, Travel Agent, or in a similar role, preferably within a government or contracting environment.
- Strong understanding of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and GSA per diem rates.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of travel industry standards and best practices.
