Job Title: Traveler CT Technologist
We are seeking a skilled Traveler CT Technologist to join our team for temporary assignments across various healthcare facilities. In this role, you will operate CT scanning equipment, capturing high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. You will also ensure equipment functionality, adhere to hygiene and safety protocols, and provide compassionate patient care during procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate CT scanning equipment to obtain diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues.
- Accurately position patients to target specific areas for imaging.
- Perform routine maintenance and warm-up procedures on CT scanners to prolong equipment life and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain strict hygiene protocols by sterilizing radiologic equipment before and after use.
- Follow physicians' written instructions for scanning procedures and administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image clarity.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and provide support, addressing any concerns or reactions to contrast agents.
- Evaluate CT scans to ensure they meet technical quality standards for accurate diagnosis.
- Clearly explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance as needed.
- Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology.
- Valid state license to work as a CT technologist.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Proven experience working as a CT technologist, with the ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
- CPR and BLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in fast-paced healthcare settings.
