Job Title: Traveler CT Technologist
We are seeking a skilled Traveler CT Technologist to join our team for temporary assignments across various healthcare facilities. In this role, you will operate CT scanning equipment, capturing high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. You will also ensure equipment functionality, adhere to hygiene and safety protocols, and provide compassionate patient care during procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CT scanning equipment to obtain diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues.
Accurately position patients to target specific areas for imaging.
Perform routine maintenance and warm-up procedures on CT scanners to prolong equipment life and ensure optimal performance.
Maintain strict hygiene protocols by sterilizing radiologic equipment before and after use.
Follow physicians' written instructions for scanning procedures and administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image clarity.
Monitor patients throughout procedures and provide support, addressing any concerns or reactions to contrast agents.
Evaluate CT scans to ensure they meet technical quality standards for accurate diagnosis.
Clearly explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance as needed.
Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
Requirements:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology.
Valid state license to work as a CT technologist.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Proven experience working as a CT technologist, with the ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
CPR and BLS certification.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Excellent technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in fast-paced healthcare settings.
