About the Job
**Job Title:** CT Technologist
**Job Specialty:** Diagnostic Imaging
**Job Duration:** Full-Time
**Shift:** 8-hour evenings, flexible Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm & every 5th or 6th weekend
**Guaranteed Hours:** 32 hours per week
**Experience:** Previous experience in CT preferred, but not required
**License:**
- Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- CT certification required
**Must-Have:**
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs
with shared lifting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in general computer skills and applications
- Ability to take call and work independently using critical thinking skills
**Job Description:**
- Operate CT scanners and perform CT procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures
- Work within the "Standards of Ethics" of the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the "Clinical Practice Standards" established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT)
- Collaborate with physicians to perform a variety of specialized CT procedures
- Set up and adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures
- Position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, ensuring respect for their ability and comfort
- Obtain appropriate patient information for the procedures being completed
- Provide radiation protection to the patient, technologist, and anyone else in the area, utilizing PPE and other guidelines as needed
- Recognize emergent situations and activate assistance as required
- Assist other areas and shifts as needed
