This is a position with dual resposibilities of CT and Diagnostic Radiology.Major Responsibilities:Determines appropriate radiographic technique and positions patient using immobilization and support devices to ensure optimum film quality 1)Positions patient and adjusts equipment, immobilization and support devices as necessary, using tact and courtesy at all times 2)Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient s condition to obtain quality films to provide Radiologist with a diagnostic tool. 3)Secures history from patient regarding reason for prescribed test, and records on appropriate form for Radiologists information.Displays competent understanding of patient positioning and image critique 1)Ability to competently position patients for all exams 2)Perform problem solving as it relates to physical limitations of patient during patient positioning 3)Follows appropriate scanning protocol per Radiologist 4)Competent to perform image reviews to determine if more views are necessary to complete the exam 5)Ability to select and adjust technical factors governing the imaging process 6)Ability to identify artifacts on film and assist in problem solving 7)Has minimum amount of repeat work 8)Annual Competencies 9)Able to efficiently communicate normal and abnormal anatomy that is captured on scans to the Radiologist 10)Able to evaluate CT orders for appropriateness using the ACR Appropriateness Criteria Patty Hingst Summit Medical Staffing 727.560.7607 0000393503
