About the Job
**Job Title:** Echocardiographer
**Job Specialty:** Imaging/Echo
**Job Duration:** Permanent
**Shift:** 8-hour days, mostly days with evening and weekend call
**Guaranteed Hours:** 32 hours per week
**Experience:** Previous experience in a similar role preferred
**License:** A valid Echocardiography license from ARDMS, CCI, or registry eligible & obtain valid certification within 12 months of graduation
**Certifications:** Must have current CPR certification
**Must-Have:**
- Associates of Science degree in a healthcare field and successful completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program; OR
- Successful completion of a two-year Echocardiogram training program; OR
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field with two years of cardiac-related healthcare experience
**Job Description:**
- Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and produce cardiac images according to policy/protocol
- Perform adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pediatric echocardiograms
- Assure high quality in all exams and provide the interpreting physician with necessary information for accurate diagnosis
- Collaborate with other departments to provide procedures in a timely and efficient manner
- Display ability and knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures and differentiating artifacts
- Must be capable of lifting 75 lbs., with 150 lbs
shared lifting
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
- Show ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills
- Share responsibility to cover call, weekends, and holidays
- Position eligible for a sign-on bonus
