Travel Emergency Dept RN Compensation
- The pay for this position is $2088.00 per week (including per diem)
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Travel Emergency Dept RN Highlights
- Hours are 7PM-7AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week
Travel Emergency Dept RN Responsibilities
- Has competent knowledge of all the normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric and delivers patient care appropriately.
- Performs thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive and accurate.
- Consistently demonstrates competent clinical skills.
- Performs direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept.
- Provides competent and appropriate nursing care to the population of the unit.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation.
- Demonstrates knowledge of documentation guidelines.
- Assumes primary responsibility for documenting components of the nursing process and patient's progress toward meeting outcomes in the patient's chart including patient education.
- Demonstrates professional practice responsibility.
- Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures and is able to identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
- Consistently responds to patient's/families and co-workers in a professional, courteous, positive manner to promotes an environment where the patient and family is at the center and the patient care team works cooperatively toward their goal and objectives.
- Maintains confidentiality according to HIPPA guidelines.
- Consistently follows the National Patient Safety Goals including following Universal Protocol and identifying patient's utilizing 2 patient identifiers.
- Demonstrates use of safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self, and patient's.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures and equipment encountered for surgical patient's.
- Individualizes patient care according to the procedure and type of anesthesia across the continuum of care. Assesses patient reaction and understanding of procedure/instructions.
- Contributes to the perioperative team by assuming responsibility and accountability for directing patient care by prioritizing the care of patient's depending on their needs and any changes in their condition.
- Job Function: 09. Patient Education and Chart Completion.
- Assesses patient's understanding of surgical procedure/instructions, actively including the patient and family members in teaching.
- Performs pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.
- Supports the completion of patient testing in a timely manner.
- Evaluates Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and for potential omissions based on proposed surgery, patient age, and current state of health.
Travel Emergency Dept RN Requirements
- Physical Requirements: As defined by Occupation Safety/OMS
- Skills: 1 year experience - Critical Care/ Cardiac or ED BLS - Required RN License - Required ACLS - Required PALS - Required for pediatric ER only
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
