Connected Health Care is thrilled to partner with a premier healthcare facility in Petoskey, MI, to find a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse for a travel position. This is an excellent opportunity for ICU nurses seeking a dynamic and rewarding career with day shift availability.
Job Description:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Monitor patients vital signs, administer medications, and manage life-support equipment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Perform diagnostic tests, analyze results, and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on conditions and treatments.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- EKG comfortability.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ICU nurse.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong knowledge of critical care principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
