Job Title: Traveler Interventional Radiology Tech
We are seeking a skilled Traveler Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech to join our medical team for temporary assignments in various healthcare facilities. The IR Tech will assist physicians in performing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, utilizing imaging guidance. You will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients, and ensuring the accuracy and safety of all procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in performing interventional radiology procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, and catheter placements.
Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment to guide physicians during procedures.
Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and address any concerns or questions.
Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
Ensure that sterile techniques and safety protocols are followed throughout all procedures.
Accurately document procedure details, including patient information and imaging data.
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient care.
Assist with post-procedure patient care, including monitoring and providing follow-up instructions.
Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure the procedure room is clean and organized.
Requirements:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or a related field.
Certification in radiologic technology (ARRT) with an Interventional Radiology credential.
State licensure for radiologic technologists.
Proven experience as an Interventional Radiology Tech.
Strong understanding of sterile techniques, radiation safety, and imaging procedures.
Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle pressure during complex procedures.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and technical proficiency in imaging equipment.
