- Job Duties include: blood sugars, insertion of catheters, IV removal, medication management, documentation skills, communication skills.
- May need to perform Charge Nurse/House Supervisor duties as needed.
Job Details
- Previous travel experience with the agency submitting is required.
- Experience working as a LPN in hospital or skilled nursing preferred.
- Must have skills in IV, blood draws, medication administration, customer service.
- EPIC knowledge preferred.
Job Requirements
- Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a.
- No block scheduling but preferred scheduling is implemented.
- Weekend Requirements: Yes, every other weekend.
- Holiday Requirements: Yes, holiday groups.
- No call or standby requirement.
- No floating requirements; however, must be willing to work both sides of the unit if needed.
Schedule Information
- Unit: Fairmont Medical Center Skilled Nursing Unit
- LPN # of beds: 30 currently running 16 and bumping to 22 max until November then bump again up to full capacity.
- CNA:Patient Ratios: 1:8 CNAs, 1:10 LPNs
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients include Deconditioned, FS, post-surgery, falls, dialysis, CHF, Stroke.
- The unit has a Nurse Preceptor to do unit-specific education.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Royal Blue
Unit Specific Information
- EPIC is the documentation system used.
- Omnicell is the pharmacy dispensing system.
- 12 hr nights, weekends as scheduled.
