**Must-Have:** Associate's Degree or meet qualifications as defined by CLIA and the State for a laboratory technician
**Job Description:**
- Perform tests requiring limited skill and responsibility under the supervision of the Supervisor, Manager, or Laboratory Director.
- Maintain acceptable accuracy in patient testing, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency testing.
- Meet departmental standards for correct patient or specimen identification and maintain low error rates in testing or reporting results.
- Document investigation and correct interpretation of QA failures or trends.
- Earn acceptable scores in proficiency testing and personnel competency testing.
- Maintain testing instruments and use clinical/theoretical knowledge to analyze, investigate, interpret, and report lab data accurately and timely.
- Recognize the relationship between lab data and clinical findings, initiate problem investigation and work towards resolution, and interpret information from multiple sources.
- Comply with logging procedures for tracking laboratory test status and document all elements of the Notification Value Call procedure.
- Practice efficient organizational skills for effective use of time, materials, and resources while maintaining high-quality laboratory data.
- Adhere to safety standards and participate in meetings, committees, task forces, and project teams as required.
- Maintain current knowledge and practice laboratory policies and procedures, including regulatory compliance.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, or yearly educational requirements.
- Meet weekend and holiday unit requirements as specified (2 major and 2 minor holidays).
