**Job Title:** MRI Technologist

**License:** ARRT Radiography registration required, ARRT MRI or ARMRIT registration required
**Certifications:** Approved CPR or BLS certification required
**Must-Have:**
- Graduate from an accredited radiography program or accredited MRI training program
**Job Description:**
- Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Work flexible hours, alternate shifts, weekends, and on-call as necessary to provide quality patient care
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team, participate in committees and projects
- Responsible for daily operational tasks including patient flow, delegation of duties, and assignment of tasks
- Report and document MRI safety incidents/adverse events as per protocol
- Maintain smooth and efficient workflow in the MRI Department and actively participate in scanning patients
- Respond to technical questions, concerns, and problems from MRI and other medical staff
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and coordinate with the Manager and BioMed
- Assist with medical records and image sharing as necessary
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and complete required QA metrics in collaboration with the Manager/Supervisor
- Identify areas where improvement may be necessary
- Assist Department Manager/Supervisor with training for new installations and upgrades to equipment and software
- Interview, hire, and oversee orientation of new staff members
- Maintain and renew accreditation and implement MRI safety measures for compliance with regulatory requirements
- Evaluate the accuracy and quality of scans, providing technical assistance as needed
- Monitor quality assurance programs to comply with federal, state, local, and facility regulations
- Keep abreast of new developments in the field by reviewing current literature and attending relevant meetings and seminars
- Maintain policies and procedures for the MRI department with input from leadership
- Ensure proper staff scheduling to meet department needs
- Provide holiday coverage as required.
