Job DetailsPerforms MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist and oversight of a senior MRI Technologist.This individual interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients and visitors.Acts as a resource person for MRI technical, and other issues, and demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols.Operates MRI and related equipment, prepares scan room - equipment, supplies and medications.This individual also maintains images and archives associated with patient data.Other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsLICENSURE DESCRIPTION: ARRT registered is required.Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-MR is required within 18 months of hire.SITE SPECIFIC: For those sites requiring advanced certification in MRI & CT, MR must be achieved within the first 18 months.CT certification must be achieved within 30 months of hire date.BCLS certified within 90 days of hire date.
