Job RequirementsGraduate from an accredited radiography program or accredited MRI training program.

Unit Specific InformationEnsures proper staff scheduling to meet the needs of the department.Maintains training, competency, and orientation documents along with SupervisorAssists leadership with regular staff meetings.Maintains and renews accreditation for ACR and the state.Implements and monitors MRI safety measures to ensure safety of patients and staff and compliance with government regulatory requirements.Evaluates the accuracy and quality of scans and provides technical assistance to staff whenever necessary.Assists Manager/Supervisor in monitoring quality assurance program to conform to federal, state, local, and facility regulations and guidelines.Consults on work in progress to assure accuracy and completes work.Performs and trains specialized and more difficult procedures.Reviews current literature and attends meetings and seminars to keep informed of new developments in field.Expert level knowledge of electronic medical record and PACS and imaging equipmentMaintains policies and procedures for MRI dept with input from Director, Manager and Radiologists.
