**Certifications:** BLS (AHA or ARC) required

- Venipuncture skills
- Nuclear medicine experience
- Patient care skills
**Job Description:**
- Perform radiographic exams utilizing ionizing radiation while ensuring patient protection using ALARA principles.
- Supervise staff technologists in the correct use of radiation-producing equipment.
- Conduct invasive procedures and exams requiring the use of contrast agents, both oral and intravenous, under the direct supervision of a radiologist.
- Supervise staff technologists in performing these duties correctly.
- Participate in performance improvement activities within the Radiology Department.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement activities within the hospital and Radiology Department.
- Adhere to infection control principles during direct patient care.
- Perform safety and control checks on department equipment per standards.
- Demonstrate proper medication administration principles.
- Provide patient protection via appropriate lead shielding, confidentiality, and safety measures.
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure proper consent forms are signed.
- Deliver age-appropriate care as evidenced by completion of age-specific competency checklists.
- Participate in rotating on-call duties every other weekend.
