About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Dialysis **Job Specialty:** Outpatient Dialysis **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12 Hour Days **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of dialysis experience required; travel experience with at least one 13-week assignment **License:** Registered Nurse (RN) License in South Dakota or compact state **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) required **Must-Have:** Hemodialysis experience; Competence in accessing and troubleshooting fistulas and grafts **Job Description:** - Provide dialysis care in both inpatient and outpatient settings - Utilize hemodialysis dialysis machines and portable systems - Manage a patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3 for inpatients and 1:8 for outpatients - Work collaboratively with a team of technicians and licensed practical nurses - Participate in one week of orientation, including general hospital and department training - Be available for on-call shifts one night per week - Rotate weekends with Saturday shifts and be available for Sunday on-call shifts - Maintain patient records using EPIC charting system - Work all holidays within the week except for Thanksgiving and Christmas, substituting with a Sunday shift for these holidays - Adhere to all clinical and safety protocols within the dialysis unit - Wear navy blue scrubs as per uniform guidelines This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment providing care to acute and chronic dialysis patients.
