Client has profile review process with clinical and candidate will need to complete a questionnaire and reviewed by our clinical team before presentation to the client.

Start date: 11/26
Orientation: Every 4th Tuesday of the month ONLY
Shift & Scheduling: 7-7 for AM and PM. and 3P to 3A. Schedule is made out 4 weeks at a time, overtime is available. Modified self-scheduling.
Weekend Requirement: Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating Requirement: None listed
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, will prefer PALS and CPI.
# of beds 11 licensed bed (6 of those are monitored, 1 gyne room and the rest are fow lower acuity), 5 overflow hallway beds. # patients per day: 20-40 visits per day.
Ratios: 1:4, including hallway patients can be up to 1:5-6
Exp or Must have skills Must have one year. No Fast Track will see fast track patients out of waiting room.
They may allow travelers to triage if they have experience. ED holds are housed in the main ED area. Psych holds are held in the ER there is not a separate area. Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Respiratory patients, Overdoses (heroin), geri-psych, typical ED population. They do not have an interventional cath lab in house.
In-house Security: 24/7 In house
*Holiday Requirements: (usually applicable May-Sept and Nov-Jan) Will be assigned to one of two teams for Holidays.
*On call: (usually applicable for procedure type positions. Ex OR, Cath Lab, Radiology) CALL occassionaly

Other Unit Notes:
ED Physicians/Mid-Levels: 1 ED Physician
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge nurse, ideally does not take patients. House supervisor 24/7.
Nurse Aids/Paramedics/Patient sitters: ED Techs, Paramedics (used in Triage)
EMR: Meditech
RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Does RT do ABG's, breathing tx, EGS's?: RT to manage vents, BiPap, treatments.
Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: 6 monitored beds, monitors at nurses station, nurses are responsible for reading and monitoring telemetry.
X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport?: Xray in the ED, Separate department containing additional Xray services and CT is not in the ED department. They have transporters until 11pm, after that nurses and techs will be responsible for transporting patients.
Phlebotomy or nurse draw: Nurse draw on initial IV start. Repeats will be done by phlebotomy.
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Royal Blue
Unit/Department specific orientation: Depends on experience and comfort level but typically 2-3 shifts with a preceptor.
