Job Details
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CAD, COPD, CHF, Sepsis, Trauma, STEMI, Stroke
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Telemetry, Cardiac
- ED Physicians/Mid-Levels: 24hr ED Physician coverage, 30hrs APP coverage
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: ED charge & house supervisor
- Nurse Aids/Paramedics/Patient sitters: LNA & Paramedics
Job Requirements
- Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hr shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Every other
- Holiday Requirement: vary
- Is there a call or standby requirement?: no
- Floating Requirements: no
Schedule Information
- Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? 4 bed, locked psychiatric area (included in the 28 beds)
- EMR: AllScripts
- RT Equipment: (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Does RT do ABG's, breathing tx, EGS's? All respiratory equipment. RT manage vents. ED RN provide neb treatments
- Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: All beds are monitored. RN’s read strips
- X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport?: 24/7 Xray, CT, U/S, MRI
- Phlebotomy or nurse draw: both
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: NONE
- Unit/Department specific orientation: Day one with educator. 2 days with preceptor;7p-7a

- # beds/trauma bays: 28 total / 3 resuscitation bays
- Candidates with no Licensure or Background hits are only considered for this opening
- Do you have a separate Triage area & do you allow/require travelers to do Triage?: We do have a triage area. We do not have travelers go into triage
- Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed within the ER? - Do ER RN's manage their own ER holds?: Intermixed within the ED. ED staff provides care until moved out of ED
- In-house Security: yes

- Ratios: 4:1
