Job Details
- 2 full years of experience as an ER nurse.
- Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and CA License.
Job Requirements
- Shifts are 12 hours long. Shift options include Days, Mids, and Nights.
- Self-scheduling is available but not finalized until the manager balances it.
- Schedules are set for 4 weeks.
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
- 4 weekend shifts are required in a 4-week schedule.
Schedule Information
- 21 beds in the ER with a fast track staffed with midlevel's & LVNs.
- Ratios are 1 to 4 unless ICU patient would be 1 to 2.
- Phillips for tele-monitoring.
- There is ventilator support available.
- Hospitalists or Intensivists are in-house for the ER.
- No dedicated IV team.
- Respiratory Therapists are available 24/7.
- Pharmacy is available 24/7 with Omnicell.
- Common diagnosis/types of patients seen in ER.
- The unit includes typical ER patients as well as occasional MedSurg Tele holds.
Unit Specific Information
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications are required.
- CERNER experience is required.
- Floating could happen between the 2 facilities to the ER.
