Title: Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Dallas, TX
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: Nights
Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Dallas, TX. As an ICU RN, you will play a crucial role in providing specialised care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans for critically ill patients.
Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other indicators of patient status.
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions and treatment plans.
Participating in code blue and other emergency response situations as needed.
Documenting all patient care activities accurately and comprehensively in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Qualifications:
Current RN licence in the state of Texas.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an intensive care unit (ICU) setting.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
