Certification Details
- This position requires a full 3 years of ICU experience to be considered.
- Travelers could also float to the sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed.
- Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.
- Flexibility is a must.
- Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
- There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).
- COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.
Job Details
- 3 full years of current ICU experience.
- Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and AZ license or compact license (TNCC is preferred).
- Must be able to pass a dysrhythmia exam and a Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation.
Job Requirements
- Self-scheduling with manager adjustments for unit needs.
- 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule, Nightshift weekends are Friday - Saturday, Dayshift are Saturday - Sunday.
- May have 1 holiday off in an assignment.
- No additional call/standby shifts required but may be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs.
Schedule Information
- Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:2, 1:1.
- Experience with trauma, neuro and specialty devices needed.
- Charge Nurse does not take patients.
- Nurse aids only used for sitters and as Health Unit Secretary.
Unit Specific Information
- Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery.
- Unit specific orientation for 1-2 days.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy.
- Sister units include a medical/cardiac 36 bed ICU & 12 bed overflow ICU.
