- # beds: 24 beds
- Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
- Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
- EMR: Cerner Power chart
- Charge Nurse: yes - they do not take a patient assignment
- Nurse Aides: No
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Yes 1 major, one minor for both winter and summer holidays
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Tele/Monitor Techs: 24 hardwire/8 hardwire overflow, RN's must read and interpret strips, they do not have a monitor tech
- Drips: neosynephrine, levophed, vasopressin, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, etc.
- Vents: Yes
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Intensivist in house 24/7
- IV Team: No
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
- Shifts: 12 hr shifts 0, 1
- Floating: They will have to float to tele (1 to 4)
- Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on unit
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trauma, MVC, post cath, post CABG(no travelers), sepsis, resp failure, No CRRT, stents - yes, ballon pumps - no, crani's, ventrics - no travelers, travelers must have experience with doing neuro assessments, ICP monitoring no, must have trauma experience, looking for general medical surgical ICU experience
- Additional Notes: Must have 2 years of experience working in ICU, prior travel experience is preferred.
