Job Details
- BLS, Intro to Fetal Monitoring, NRP
- Ability to circulate in OR
- Competency in normal newborn assessments and routine baby care
- Expectation to float to Postpartum on occasion which requires care of the infant as well as the mom
Job Requirements
- Shifts: 0630-1900, 1830-0700
- Self scheduling available, can accommodate most schedule requests
- Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend, could be up to every other based on unit need
- Holiday Requirements: 1 major, 1 minor
- Floating Requirements: Will float to Postpartum, occasional float to the house to be a 'sitter'
Schedule Information
- OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7: 3 residents and 1 supervising MD on the floor at all times
- Anesthesia in house 24/7: CRNAs on the unit 24/7
- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula
- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Tele in recovery after a c-section
- EFM System: Obix
- Do RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, pain meds
- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge on Both Shifts
- Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? Duties?: 2 OBTs per shift
- Scrub Color/Dress code: Surgical scrubs provided
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2-3 shifts

Unit Specific Information
- Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
- RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions
