Certification Details
- Labor and Delivery - 3x12 Nights
- Call: 24 hours in 6 weeks
- 100 to 120 deliveries a month
- 14 beds family birth place, 9 in special care nursing
- Level 2
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- Nurse Patient Ratio – 4:1 mom baby, 2:1 labor and delivery, 1:1 when active
- Ancillary assistance: secretary, scrub tech
- Midwives on unit
- 5 days of new team member orientation, 4 in class, 1 on the floor
- UM-UCH supplies sterile scrubs
- Current computer system is meditech, going to EPIC next year
- Mom centered care
