Job DetailsSpecialty: L&D - 74000Department: Labor and DeliveryCommon diagnoses/Types of patients: 28 weeks and above, lots of HTN, 7-10% no prenatal care, high Spanish speaking, tele monitoring. Spanish speaking would be great.Experience: Vaginal exams, scalp electrodes, circulate a C-section, newborn transitions, assist anesthesiology, IV starts, blood draws, APGARS assignments, postpartum hemorrhage control, epidurals, amnio infusion.Experience Preferences: Knowledge in water birth and spinning babies.
Job RequirementsEPIC experience required.Time Off: 5 days or less, must be included within the attached profile/resume.
Schedule InformationShifts & Scheduling: 6:45-7:15am/pm.Weekend Requirements: 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.Holiday Requirements: Typically 2/3 holidays, includes eve/day of.On-Call: Low Census On Call.Floating Requirements: NICU/Peds/Womens as well as MedSurg or ICU with appropriate patient assignment or RDU.
Unit Specific InformationDo you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios: Try to follow 1:1 or 1:2, 2 patients is pretty common.Are RNs required to titrate drips: Magnesium, Pitocin, insulin, blood.Charge Nurse: Free charge on each shift.Nurse aids/surgical techs: OB Techs.OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7: YesRT Equipment: BVM-neonates; T-Piece resuscitator.Tele/Monitor Techs: Tele on unit- cardiac monitor tech on adult side of hospital- OB RNs do not need to read tele.EFM System: CPN centricity.
