Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Santa Cruz, California.

Job Description & Requirements

Position: Travel Nurse (Day Shift)
Shift: 12-hour days with varied start times (8:30 AM or 12:30 PM); call included; weekend coverage required.

Beds:
L&D: 6
Postpartum: 11
Gyn/Pedi/MS Overflow: 6
C-Section OR Suite: 1
Triage Beds: 3
Births: Approximately 65-70 births per month, totaling 775-800 annually.
Patient Population: High-risk patients (high BMI, hypertension, hemorrhage, preeclampsia).
Required Certifications:
Must Have:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
Additional Responsibilities: RNs required to titrate drips and may float to mother-baby/postpartum.
Staffing and Support:
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge nurses ideally do not take an assignment.
In-House Support: OB/CNM and anesthesia available 24/7; neonatologist on-call.
Equipment: RT equipment available; RNs are responsible for reading strips with CNM and OB physician.
