We are seeking passionate RNs to join our General Medical and Surgical units in Indiana. Here, you'll encounter a wide range of patients and medical conditions, offering you a unique and enriching professional experience.
About the Role
Our units handle a variety of diagnoses including chronic illnesses such as COPD, Diabetes, CHF, and end-stage renal disease. You'll also manage GI issues like pancreatitis, bleeding, and inflammatory bowel diseases, as well as infections like pneumonia, cellulitis, sepsis, UTI, and c-diff. Additionally, you'll care for patients with neurological issues such as stroke, dementia, and traumatic brain injuries, along with mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.
Key Responsibilities
Our team works 12-hour shifts with a requirement of 3 weekend shifts within 4 weeks. You will float to areas in greatest need, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:5. Note that floating is limited to other medical units only.
Orientation and Training
We provide a comprehensive Jump Start orientation program, which includes one day of general hospital orientation followed by approximately five days of nursing orientation and Epic classes.

Key Responsibilities
- General Medical Surgical nursing care
- Assessments and care planning
- Inter-professional communication
- Utilization of EHR, IV pumps, wound vacs, heat/cooling pads, feeding pumps, feeding tubes, and chest tubes
- Management of heparin and insulin drips, IV therapy
- Epic electronic record
- Pyxis machines
- Accucheck blood glucose monitors
- Hospira IV pumps
- SCDs for VTE prevention
- Telemetry monitoring
- Minimum one year of Med Surg hospital experience (Two years preferred)
- Active BLS certification
- IN State or compact RN license
