About the Job
- AHA Only - NON-AHA certifications are only acceptable as placeholder while AHA certifications pending completion
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM certifications may be required depending on unit and role
- Certifications that are expiring within a week of start must be renewed
- Must indicate correct spelling of candidates full legal name
Certification Details
- 36 hours per week
- Targeted patient ratios are 1:6
- Unit may participate in team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs partner together to care for a group of patients
- The goal of this model is to divide the work and not the patients, ultimately improving both the workload and patient care
- Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on the needs of the unit
Job Details
- Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment
- BLS - must be able to read and interpret strips
- 1.5 years experience, experience in a level 1 or 2 preferred
- Travel experience preferred
- Must have recent EPIC experience
Job Requirements
- Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion
- Agency will float in/out of specialty clusters
- Assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to
- Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday
- Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract
- Premier Health reserves the right to cancel agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine
- Travelers are not eligible for Premier health employee incentives
Schedule Information
- 29-bed/Med Surg unit concentrates on Gynecology, Oncology, and Urogynecology (TVT, Cystoscopy, and A&P repair)
- General Medical-Surgical diagnoses, including behavioral health that is not eligible for the behavioral health unit, Hematology (Sickle Cell)
- Navy Blue Scrubs
Unit Specific Information
- Request RTO with initial submittal; NO RTO will be added after the offer
- RTO approval will be at the Manager's discretion
- Submittal email must include application and current Nursys report, and other certs are not needed if listed on the application
