IMC RN s will float to med/surg as needed. Med/surg RN s may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care. Floating is based on unit need and skill as well as the needs of nursing units. Education & Certifications Required: Required Certifications (will this be consistent for all similar skillset on unit or specific to this Position Request): BLS Education Modules (will this be consistent for all similar skillset on unit or specific to this Position Request): MMC mandatory onboarding education Unit Information: Number of Beds: 43 Patient Ratios: Day Shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, Night Shift Med/surg 1:5-6, Day and Night IMC 3:1 Equipment: Specific to our IMC patients: Ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP. Both IMC and Med Tele equipment: CPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non Rebreather, Epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, Trach care/maintenance EMR: Epic Hiring Profile: Must Have Skills/Experience: IMC RN s must have Vent experience. All RN s must have experience with tracheostomy s and ready/interpreting telemetry strips Preferred Skillset/Experience: Type of Patients on Unit: Respiratory, Medical Telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, Altered Mental Status, Failure to Thrive, Respiratory Failure, and most any acute on chronic medical condition.
