- 13-week contract at CHI Mercy Health Mercy Medical Center
- 53 MedSurg beds
- Nurse to patient ratios: 1:5 on Days, 1:6 on Nights
- Pneumonia, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, COVID, stroke, overflow general surgical, oncology-some implanted radiation
- First-time travelers accepted
- Charge nurses on each shift with no assignment
- Nursing aids/patient care techs available with ratios of 1:9 on Days and 1:11 on Nights
- Cpap, occasional Bipap equipment available with no requirement for RNs to operate besides troubleshooting
- On site monitor tech available, RNs are not required to read tele
Job Details
- BLS Certification
- Oregon Nursing License or willingness to obtain a 90 Day Emergency License
Job Requirements
- 12-hour shifts: 0645-1915 or 1845-0715
- 2-week rotation core schedule
- Option for block scheduling considered
- Every other weekend requirement: Days- Sat, Sunday, and Nights- Fri, Sat
- Holiday shift requirement every other holiday
- No on-call or standby requirement, but possibility to volunteer
Schedule Information
- Blood sugars, vital signs, etc. as duties for nurse aids/patient care techs
- Black pants with scrub tops of choice for dress code
- Two 12-hour orientation shifts specific to unit/department
