Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year Experience
Traveler Experience: Unit WILL Accept 1st time travelers
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias
Certs: BCLS
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: ACLS, NIH
JOB DETAILS:
Ratios: 1:5-6.
Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!
*36 or 48 hrs hours can be offered. If 48hrs, no OT billed until after 48 hrs.
SHIFT: 12 HOUR DAYS
Float Requirement: Yes.
Weekend Requirement: Every Other.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Renal and limb preservation patients (lower extremity), patients include ESRD, ARF, vascular procedures, CHF, diabetics, diabetic foot ulcer
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Unit is a 41 bed inpatient unit with telemetry capability with a focus on renal and limb preservation patients. Patients who receive hemodialysis will receive treatments in our hemodialysis unit. Peritoneal dialysis patients will receive treatments on the unit with initiation by the dialysis team. Our interdisciplinary team consists of: hospitalist, RN navigator, RNs, NAs, receptionist, dietary, PT/OT, pharmacy. This team meets on a daily basis to ensure best care is provided for our patients.
UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE: Self-Scheduling, per the Unit Needs
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hours of orientation (2 shifts with preceptor plus EMR education)
SCRUBS: Not provided – Colors: Navy or White
