vTech Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Position / Specialty: MS/Tele RN
Ratios: Normal Ratios for med/surg, Day and Eve 5:1, Nights 6 or 7:1.
• Stretch Ratios for Med/Surg Day/Eve 6:1
• We have PCT’s on all units that do vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKG’s and any sort of activity of daily living
• We have an in-house phlebotomy team that does all peripheral lab draws nursing is responsible for PICC lines and central lines

Weekend REQ: EOW
Certs REQ: BLS
Is on-call REQ? (Y/N) What is the req? No
Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units? Float to MS, ICU, ED. If staff float to ICU or ED it is to care for Med/Surg level patients or be helping hands. Will not practice outside of scope
Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N) They will try but not guaranteed
Locals accepted: (Y/N) No - 50 miles
Pending License accepted: (Y/N) No
RTO Restrictions: We will not allow more than 1 week RTO in a contract
• No holiday RTO. The agency nurse will not work all holidays but we need to use our discretion on which holiday we will need the agency nurse to work
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Special Requirements: Tele required. Heperin protocols. Manage cardiac drips.
Patient Diagnosis: cardiac and stroke.
