About The Position
Position: Registered Nurse (Oncology)
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
, NC
Duration: 13 weeks
Description:
This position requires administering chemotherapy and caring for high acuity adult and geriatric patients with various medical-surgical diagnoses. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience, BLS certification, and chemotherapy administration certification (ONC cert preferred but not required for travelers). Charge nurse experience and CPI certification preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy via IV, PO, or injection
- Provide care for patients with diagnoses such as DKA, AKI, sepsis, cancer, septic shock, pain management, overdose, malignant neoplasms, ARF, encephalopathy, FTT, and diabetic foot ulcers
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7
- Utilize unit systems including PYXIS for medication, EPIC for documentation, and SBAR for communication
