About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** PCU Float **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 3 years required **License:** NC or Compact license required **Certifications:** ACLS, BCLS, NIH **Must-Have:** - Minimum 3 years of experience - Experience with telemetry and ventilators - Pass EKG testing prior to start - Willingness to float to various units and campuses - Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays - Comfortable working during catastrophic events **Job Description:** - Provide nursing care across inpatient settings including medical surgical, cardiac, progressive care/step down, and stroke units. - Work as part of the Centralized Resource Nursing Pool, covering multiple campuses. - Engage in patient care involving medical/surgical floors, progressive care units, cardiac floors, rehabilitation, and pre/post-operative units. - Participate in the floating pool which may include medical/surgical, progressive care, and holding spaces for the emergency department. - Handle patient loads with ratios of 1:3-6, based on patient population needs. - Ensure readiness to participate in storm or hurricane teams as required. - Ability to report for duty under mass casualty or disaster situations. - Document care using EPIC and communicate effectively through SBAR. - Wear navy-colored scrubs during shifts. **Additional Details:** - Must be available to work every other weekend. - Completion of mandatory modules prior to starting. - Commitment to floating expectations without restrictions.
