- AHA BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
- AHA ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification
- AHA NIHSS Certification
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Preferred: NRP (as per unit requirement), PALS (as per unit requirement)
Certification Details
- Travel RN position with Lehigh Valley Health Network
- Do NOT submit candidates living less than 50 miles radius without Submission attestation
- CANDIDATE SIGNATURE FORM REQUIRED AT TIME OF SUBMITTAL
- COVID & FLU vaccination proof required (declinations accepted)
- Full Hep B series or positive Hep B antibody documentation needed
- Interpret telemetry required
- AUTO OFFER - MUST INCLUDE CLINICAL INTERVIEW AT TIME OF SUBMISSION
- No RTO
- TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED TO FLOAT TO MULTIPLE UNITS
- Progressive Care Floating Position, candidate will not be assigned to one unit
- Provides professional nursing care - skillful assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Directs and manages the care of designated patients
- Utilizes effective and appropriate communication styles
- Assists in maintaining a safe work environment
- Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served
Job Details
- Progressive/step down experience; phlebotomy, IV starts, cardiac rhythm interpretation, drips, chest tube management, epidural/PCA management, fall prevention, pressure injury prevention, Telemetry, Post Cath/EP procedures, low level drips
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Acute Care Experience in Cardiac/PCU
Job Requirements
- Progressive Care Floating Position
- Requires flexibility to float to multiple units
Schedule Information
- All patients are monitored on telemetry or portable hardwire
- Cardiothoracic/post cardiac surgery, valve replacements, post mitraclip, lung resections
- Vascular surgery – carotid endarterectomy, fem-pop, etc, endovascular aortic repair
- Rapid response patients from med-surg for arrhythmia/rate control
- Transfers from medical-surgical ICU
- ED admissions for sepsis requiring low level monitoring
- COPD and CHF exacerbation
- Patients after procedures with cardiac sequelae requiring monitoring
- Infusions: amiodarone, Cardizem, insulin, heparin
