Medical Specialty: Step Down

Standard Shift: Nights [Every third weekend required ]

Weekly Schedule: 3x12

Department: Neuro Suite (Neurology stepdown unit)

RN Ratio: 1:3

Floating: May be required to float to ICU, Surgical stepdown unit, ER.

EMR Exp Required: EPIC Charting

Requirements:
Must live 50 Miles away from facility
1+ years exp required
Skills Checklist matching specialty
Drivers licenses with address that matches demographics
NY license in hand
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, Cardiac certified
NURSYS Report Licenses verification with ACTIVE NY License

Common patient diagnosis:
Strokes, TBI, Craniotomies/cranioplasties, back surgeries, VP/LP shunts, seizures.

Occasionally:
syncope, hyper/hypotension & vascular surgeries.

Special procedures:
Chest tube insertions, EVD insertions, Halo's

Common medication:
Antiseizure medications, antipsychotic medications, antihypertensive, DM.

Common equipment:
Bard IV pumps, GE cardiac monitor, EPCD, sit-to-stand tool, Hoyer, transfer boards, seizure pads.
