Job Requirements
- 12 hrs shifts, 6:45-7:15
- Schedules made out about 2-3 weeks ahead of time initially and then they try to schedule them out 9 weeks in advance
- Self-scheduling for the most part
- 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule, Days - Sat/Sun, Nights - Fri/Sat
- Work into perm staff rotation
Schedule Information
- Unit: Tele - 4West
- Number of beds: 22 beds
- Patient-Nurse Ratio: 1 to 3-4
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 3-4 days post-op CABG, surgical thoracic, stroke, cardiac, etc.
- EMR: Cerner
- One charge nurse for all 74 beds (2 West, 4West, and 2 central)
- 3 nurse aides to cover all 74 beds of these three units
- Scrubs: navy
- Monitoring: Phillips - monitor tech available, nurses must be able to read and interpret, will have to take dysrhythmia exam
- Patients may use bipap or cpap
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: yes
- IV Team: no
- RT 24/7: yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: yes
- Floating required to IMCU or 2 Central - all tele units
- Floor specific orientation: 1 shift on unit
Unit Specific Information
- COVID Vaccine Required (Certification)
- Holiday RTO will be considered, however, it cannot be guaranteed
