About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Psychiatric Adult **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 3x 12-hour shifts - Days **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience preferred; at least 1 year of previous nursing experience required **License:** Valid State RN license required **Certifications:** Associates Degree in Nursing required; BLS certification required; CPI Training required **Must-Have:** Ability to set strong professional boundaries, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to manage stress appropriately **Job Description:** - Provide direct and indirect patient care as an essential member of the patient care team - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver day-to-day care for children and adolescents, ages 6-18, on an inpatient adolescent behavioral unit - Focus on treatment for major depression and ADD/ADHD - Administer medication and offer education on its use - Document patient care daily - Manage and monitor patient behaviors throughout the unit - Lead and participate in educational groups - Be willing to float to Chemical Dependency/Detox when necessary - Dedicated team player capable of staying self-directed and busy during downtime All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, disability status, gender, sexual orientation, ancestry, protected veteran status, national origin, or genetic information.
