Certification Details
- A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
- The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience, an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
- TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE DRIPS!!
- There will be frequent floating to the sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.
- Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
- COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.
Job Details
- 2+ years of current tele experience
- Active BLS, ACLS
- AZ license or compact
- Must be able to titrate drips
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam (2 max attempts)
- Must pass a Sim lab on day 1 of orientation
Job Requirements
- Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units
- Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area
- Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start
- Floating to different units mid-shift can happen
- Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible
Schedule Information
- CV Tele B3A - 32 beds, ratios 1:3-4
- A3 Neuro - 28 beds, ratios 1:3-4
- MedSurg C5 - 32 beds, 1:4 ratio days and nights
- MedSurg B2C - 29 beds, 1:4 ratio days and nights
- No ICP monitoring
- Common diagnosis/types of patients for each specific unit
Unit Specific Information
- COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation (clergy or MD)
- Must be able to interpret EKGs
- Auto Offer off of Prescreen
- Requires working every other weekend
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
