Job Details

A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.

Job Requirements

The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience
An active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact
MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE CARDIAC DRIPS
Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam PRIOR TO SIGNING CONTRACT (2 MAX ATTEMPTS, NO EXCEPTIONS), within 48 hours of offer. If they fail, they will be a DNU for 6 months for both CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions.

Schedule Information

Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
Floating is required. Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area.
Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses.
Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start.
Floating to different units mid-shift can happen.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.

Unit Specific Information

Unit: Neuro Tele B3A
Ratios: 1:3-4
Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role.
Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients.
Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.
Common diagnosis/Types of patients: post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele.
Unit: MedSurg C5
Unit: MedSurg B2C
Scrub Color: Navy
Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night.
IV Team: No
RT 24/7: Yes
Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
